The Toronto Go Club will not be meeting on Sunday, December 29 for the Christmas holidays.

We will resume meeting on Sunday, January 5.

The 519 will be holding their annual fundraising gala on Sunday, October 27 so the Toronto Go Club will not be meeting that day.

We will resume meeting on Sunday, November 3.

U of T Go Club/We Go Club team tournament

Hi everyone! We're happy to announce that in partnership with the We Go Club, we will be running a team tournament throughout the school year, with games happening at the last meeting of every month. Everyone is welcome to sign up: the entrance fee is $15 per team, each team having at least 3 players.

If you do not yet have enough people to form a team, come by our meetings (Fridays, 5PM-9PM in Sidney Smith Building, room 581) to find players!

Toronto Fall Cup 2019

The Toronto Go Club will be hosting a 2 day go tournament starting on Saturday, September 28, 2019 to Sunday, September 29, 2019. It'll be at the 519 in rooms 106 & 100. Players of all levels will be eligible for prizes.

There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Sheppard-Yonge and St Clair stations on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2019 for track work. Shuttle buses will operate. For more information, check the TTC.

Anime North 2019

The Toronto Go Club will be hosting the Go demonstration tables at Anime North from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Toronto Congress Centre. We will not be holding our usual Go meeting on Sunday, May 26, 2019 and will return to the 519 on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Toronto Spring Meet 2019

The University of Toronto Go Club Fourth Open

The University of Toronto Go Club will be hosting a go tournament on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8am to 5pm in the East Common Room of the Hart House. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Registration is $10 (pre-registration) and $15 (at the door).

Please note that there is no subway service on Line 1 between Lawrence and St. Clair stations on Saturday, April 6. Shuttle buses will operate.

Canadian Open training sessions with Sohyun Park 3P

Sohyun Park (3P) will be stopping by Toronto from Friday, August 24 to Monday, August 27 as she heads to the Canadian Open in Montreal. She would like to teach as many Go players as possible. Check the Canadian Go Association page for more info.

Friday, August 24, she will visit the University of Toronto Go Club for an informal lecture.

Saturday, August 25, she will be at Lawrence Park Go Club for lectures at $10 per person.
9:30 AM - Dan level lecture - "How to break through (overcome)."
11:00 AM - Kyu level lecture - "Find a vital point."
Please confirm with Jame Sedgwick.

Sunday, August 26, she will visit the Toronto Go Club around 2 PM for a free formal lecture.

Monday, August 27, she will visit the Lawrence Park Go Club.
